The Council is elected, each Councillor serving a four year term which would next expire in May 2016. This is to be extended to 2017 by the Welsh Assembly Government to avoid a clash with their elections due in 2016. There are 10 Councillors serving the three villages, Froncysyllte, Garth and Trevor. In order to finance expenditure the Community Council precepts its requirements on the County Council. This is the money that Wrexham County Borough Council provides to the Community Council in order to conduct its business.

All income/expenditure is subject to an annual internal and external audit and copies of the audited accounts are available for public inspection by contacting the Clerk.

Council meetings are held on the first Tuesday in the month (except August and January when there is a recess) and commence at 7.00 pm. They are held alternately at Froncysyllte Community Centre and Garth & Trevor Community Centre as indicated below and the press and public are welcome to attend.
